FuSoYa, Defender of Relm  Lunar Magic Version 3.21 Released! October 24, 2020

This release of Lunar Magic is mainly just to fix an issue where the restore system wouldn't correctly restore the .s16 file for custom sprite Map16 due to the larger size it has in 3.20. Check the "What's New" section of the help file for more details.

FuSoYa, Defender of Relm  Lunar Magic Version 3.20 Released! September 24, 2020

This version of Lunar Magic adds an option for using DirectX in the main windows, which allows using a zoom filter and more zoom levels. Plus it makes it so that using Zoom in/Zoom out (Ctrl+Scroll Wheel) in those windows will go in increments of +/-10% when DirectX is available. There's also a new feature to display sprites in the editor using external graphics and palettes which is useful for dynamic type sprites, along with several other minor changes and fixes. Check the "What's New" section of the help file for more details.

Today is also the 20th anniversary of Lunar Magic's first release! That marks 2 full decades of countless SMW hacks produced with the program. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to say about that... other than maybe, here's to the next 20? ;)

FuSoYa, Defender of Relm  Lunar Magic Version 3.11 Released! February 9, 2020

This version of Lunar Magic has a few minor fixes, and also adds a new layer 3 scroll setting that uses a 1.2:1 scroll rate that goes faster than layer 1, intended for the type of foregrounds you can see in SMW2:Yoshi's Island. Read the "What's New" section of the help file for more details.




FuSoYa, Defender of Relm  Lunar Magic Version 3.10 Released! September 24, 2019

This version of Lunar Magic adds several changes for layer 3 tides such as support for tides in horizontal levels that are taller than in the original game, having vertical scroll in tide levels, and making tides act like lava or some other custom tiles. This version of Lunar Magic mainly just fixes a couple things noticed in the last release like tiles not appearing in the "No Yoshi" intro for vertical levels and the scroll wheel not always behaving as it should.

FuSoYa, Defender of Relm  Lunar Magic Version 3.00 Released! December 25, 2018

This release of Lunar Magic includes a patch from Vitor that allows changing the height of horizontal levels, effectively making it possible to change the level dimensions. There's also a new FG/BG init system with new options for entrances, improvements to the game's sprite loader, support for secret exit 2 and 3 in the overworld editor, and several other small changes and fixes. See the "What's New" section of the help file for a more complete list.

I should also mention that we just passed the 18th anniversary of Lunar Magic's first release a few months ago. I could have done a minor release then, but I figured it'd be better to wait for the new dynamic level stuff. Hopefully you'll find the wait to have been worth it.

Anyway Merry Christmas, and a thank you goes out to Vitor and all the testers!
